*For those of you that are wondering what the tour was all about here is a recap: We drove and taught on the east coast classes based off my book  Make it Fizz and I am sharing the journey with you.Journey Day 8 on our our journeyIMG_5683 Sugarloaf, Pa was our next stop. We loaded up the car after class and headed out. It was only about a hour north from where we were. We were stopping for 3 days for rest and to do some laundry and see our dear friend Rose and her husband Randy. The have a really nice car too!IMG_5679 IMG_5681 IMG_5692 IMG_5693 Let me tell you about Rose. I met rose in 2008 at a soap conference. We hit it off right away. She was so fun and crazy( in a good way). We have seen each other at conferences and gatherings all over. She owns Sugarloaf Soaps in Sugarloaf, Pa. She is like me and that we have a store front from our home. Everywhere we went everyone knows her. People stop by and shop and she is on a connecting road from two towns. So people drive by her shop all the time. I taught her how to make bath fizzies. We had fun!IMG_5699 IMG_5702 Rose took us to an old coal mine town and we walked and looked around. Lexi brought back coal for everyone's stocking for Christmas..IMG_5718 IMG_5727 IMG_5737 IMG_5736 IMG_5750 I Later we helped Rose make some sugar scrubs while she went to bridal shower. We got to play in her soap studio and had a blast.IMG_5751 Next day we went to get coffee and breakfast. Have you heard of scrapple? Well it seems to be a thing there. It is meat (of some sort) and cornmeal then pan fried.... I tried it. Would I have it again? Probably not.IMG_5716 But...... Have you had chipped beef gravy over toast? That is yummy kinda like a cream gravy with dried chipped beef in it. IMG_5689 We were sad to leave my friend. I truly treasured our time together and always will. She is such a ray of sunshine. I love you Rose! Thanks for following our journey. This trip was more than work,or soap, vacation, bonding and history tours. It is bringing me to where I need to be. (more on that later) Tomorrow we head to the Big Apple! ~Holly

It was a pleasure to have Holly and Lexi visit. Holly and I have a special connection that is very rare. Plus love her husband, Chris. They are my extended family.

Bath bombs are so much fun to make. We did have a few “incidents” but that’s another story.

Sad to see her leave but we will be together soon.

    Love…Rose of Sugarloaf Soaps
